Help us oust black locust from our restored prairies! Black locust is a pesky invader in our native prairie restorations. We’ll be cutting down young locusts before they have a chance to grow and invade further. No experience is necessary! We’ll be working in some open fields so please dress for the weather as it could be windy!

Meeting location: Meet at the park headquarters. Please arrive on time as we will caravan to the work location. GPS coordinates: 42.324901, -85.351755.

Volunteers are asked to register by using the volunteer registration form or via email freih@michigan.gov. Additional information and the Calendar of Volunteer Stewardship Workdays is available via the DNR website www.michigan.gov/dnrvolunteers. For more information about invasive species please visit michigan.gov/invasives.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit www.midnrreservations.com or call 1-800-447-2757.

Please Note: Dates occasionally change and events may be canceled due to inclement weather and other reasons. Please call the park to confirm dates/times prior to your arrival.
