Who?
Everyone's welcome at this event, even muggles!!! If you know a muggle that might be interested in Geocaching, please feel free to invite them to join us.
What?
Nothing special, just a little event to kick off a Fall kayak/canoe trip down the Kalamazoo River. You don't have to participate in the paddle down the river to attend this event, just show up and join the fun before we launch. Anyone interested in kayaking/canoeing down the river is more than welcome to do so, just show up with your chosen watercraft and be ready to launch at 10:00am. We will pull out of the river at Historic Bridge Park in Battle Creek (N 42 17.420 W 85 6.920), and will stage vehicles there at some point during the event. If anyone has a vehicle that will accommodate multiple kayaks/canoes, it would be appreciated if you could bring it along to help with the transport of the watercraft. I estimate the paddle to be approximately 7 miles, and should take us approximately 4 hours to complete.
When?
Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 9:00am until 10:00am.
Where?
We'll meet for a good, hearty gathering at Saylor's Landing Boat Launch, 12669 15 Mile Road, Marshall, MI 49068
Why?
Cuz we enjoy spending time together.
