Geocaching 101 at the Harrison Twp Library

About this event

18 July 2020, 13:00 - 14:00

An outdoor geocaching 101 session at the Harrison Twp public library. Come on out and help the new folks learn to geocache. We're going to try something a little different here. Less talk, more actual geocaching, so we'll need some more experienced cachers to show the newer folks the ropes. Accurate phones with pre-loaded nearby (they're around the parking lot/building) geocaches will be provided. Hot dog! Will we all get a shared FTF on all the caches? Nope, they're not real but they sure look like it on the phones and there's plenty of real ones nearby. You do get a find for event even if you just drop by and can't stay. Aw heck, you can even claim the event if you drive by but ya' gotta' at least wave. However, ahem, the object here is to spend a few minutes with new geocachers and get them off on the right foot.

We'll be outdoor social distancing and wearing masks as per the current guidelines. It's fun to gather but we don't need anyone catching anything.
