As you probably know, this is the weekend that we were all supposed to be at the Midwest Geobash but, since they cancelled it, I decided to host a bike ride. Maybe the fresh air and comraderie will help us all get over our disappointment. So if you were planning on going to Bash (or not), feel free to join us on the Clinton River Trail for about six miles of biking and geocaching.
We will start at the posted coordinates at 9:30. (And the "end time" is required; I truly have no idea!) We will ride from Pontiac to Rochester Hills. There is a letterbox cache there (GCH0M9) that will wrap up our ride. There are a few caches after that, but this will mark the end of our organized ride.
I need some folks to volunteer to help transport people at the end of the ride (back to their cars). When you mark your "will attend", please state if you can help with this. I will do my best to organize it and meet with those willing to help out around 8:45 so we are back at the start by 9:30. If I don't get enough help, some may have to ride both directions (for a total of 12 miles). If you are coming from the east, perhaps you can wait at the end and bring a driver or two to the start after leaving their car at the end???? (I'll work this out with those responding.)
There are MANY places to stop along the way and you can practice as much social distancing as you'd like. Also, there are MANY puzzles in the area. Please take a look at those as we'll grab as many as we can while riding.
Hope to see you there!
