Image MTGA is a non-profit organization that shall foster and facilitate the creation of an interconnected statewide system of trails and greenways for recreation, health, transportation, economic development and environmental/cultural preservation purposes. Michigan is currently a national leader in trailway development, with over 2,000 miles of rail-trail and non-rail-trail corridors and growing fast! Did you know that over two-thirds of Michigan counties either have an existing trailway or are in some stage of developing one? Michigan currently ranks second in the nation for the most trailway mileage. MiGO members have numerous geocaches placed along many of those trails. MTGA is for the trail groups in Michigan as MPRA is to Park managers throughout the state. MiGO has already been asked by the Lower Rouge River Recreation Trail to set-up an informational booth for the grand opening of phase one of their newest section of trail in Canton on June 7th.

Check out the MTGA Trail-Finder program.

MTGA is the organization behind the Michigander Bike tour each year.
